This policy explains what personal data ClipSnap collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — your email address and authentication identifiers.
• Usage data — video URLs you submit, generated transcripts, clip metadata, processing-minute balances and ledger entries.
• Payment data — payment, order and subscription identifiers returned by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card details.
• Technical data — basic logs needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

2. How we use it

To create and secure your account, run the transcription, analysis and rendering pipeline, meter your Credits, process payments, provide support, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Processors we share data with

• Deepgram — audio transcription.
• OpenAI — moment detection and caption generation.
• Shotstack — video rendering and hosting of rendered files.
• Razorpay — payment and subscription processing.
• Supabase — database, authentication and storage.

We do not sell your personal data or use it to train our own models.

4. Retention

Job records, transcripts and clip metadata are kept while your account is active so you can revisit past work. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.

5. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Database access is restricted by row-level security so each user can only read their own records. API keys are stored as server-side secrets.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
